On average 9 people die when working on fragile roofs when they fall through because suitable precautions have not been taken. One client who was aware that his roof was fragile, but still allowed a contractor to work on it without suitable precautions, was fined £250,000 when the contractor fell through and died. CIS 73 will tell you what to do to ensure that either your employees or a contractor going onto your roof remains safe.
