Job Retention Scheme
Today, 17th December 2020, the chancellor confirmed that the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, also known as the furlough scheme, would be extended until the end of April 2021.
As part of the announcement, he also confirmed that the government would not review the scheme details in January as originally planned and the government will continue to pay the 80% grant until the scheme ends in April.
New Tier levels Announced
Today, 17th December, the Tier level alerts have been revised with additional areas added to the highest level 3 and some, only a few, reductions to levels 2 and 1.
