If you are returning to work and your building was closed or had reduced occupancy, there are Legionella risks that you need to be reminded of.
The Health and Safety Executive have issued a reminder to employers and people that control premises that the Duty to identify, manage and control the risks associated with Legionella is an element that needs to be included in your return to work pre-occupancy plan.
The regular premises checks that many of you would have been completing, to satisfy both statutory and buildings insurance requirements, need to include monitoring checks appropriate to your premises, either found in your Legionella reports or by following the guidance contained in the HSE alert.
