Going through a period of growth and expansion is going to provide challenges for any business. The family-owned business Hayman Group was no exception and wanted the reassurance that they were doing the right thing and managing employees using best practices.
Hayman Group is a long-standing, independent company run by the Hayman family. Their manufacturing division has been based in Witham Essex since 1988 and covers the packing and distribution of alcohol to the pharmaceutical, beverage and cosmetic sector, in addition to bottling spirits including gin, vodka and whisky for third parties. They continue to grow significantly, both in the UK and internationally and across their businesses. The Group works with independent organisations through to leading global organizations both in the UK and internationally. Employing 140 people, the workforce includes both warehouse and office-based members of staff, with additional agency workers being employed during seasonal periods.
During a period of growth and expansion, Hayman Group was looking for reassurance and retained HR support that a larger HR agency could provide. That’s where Park City came in.
The list of support requirements included reassurance that HR best practice was utilised, managing a new grading structure to ensure all employees were at the correct level of competency level for their role, following ACAS guidelines and reassurance that all their processes were compliant with HR employment law, including the Modern Slavery Act.
From the outset, Park City offered Hayman Group a dedicated HR Consultant. This consultant worked with the HR manager at Hayman Group to tackle the challenges they were experiencing over an extended period of time.
